MTB Subframe Kit

This Kit comes with our very own MTB Subframe that was completely designed by our engineers. Mini Tec's very own MTB Series Subframe was designed for the purpose of installing a Honda B-Series VTEC Engine into a Classic Mini. The MTB Series Subframe is compatible with all Classic Minis. (Clubmans, Saloons, Trucks, Vans, Wagons, 1959 to 2000 models, etc...) The Kit contains everything needed to fit a Honda B-Series VTEC Engine, less donor Mini and drive train components into a Classic Mini. Below is a list of items used from original stock Mini chassis. The MTB Kit will work for Left Hand Drive Minis as well as Right Hand Drive Minis. |

Items Included with the MTB Kit: A pair of Suspension Springs with Customized Perches, a Front Transmission Support with Rubber Mount, two Height Adjustment Bolts, two Long Steering Arms, a pair of New Customized Chromoly 400hp Mini/Honda Axle shafts, HD Shocks and bushings, Rear Engine Stabilizer with Bushing, custom alternator bracket, all the necessary Hardware for the Installation, and an Installation Manual . |

Chassis Parts you will use from your Donor Mini: RH and LH Upper Suspension Arm Assemblies, RH and LH Uprites (disc brake type only), Both Outer CV Joints (Disc Brake Type only), Lower Arms and Tie Bars (Adjustable is recommended), and MK3+ Large top Subframe Mounting Bolts. Recommended Extras: 1) A front drum brake system will not work with our kit, nor is it suitable to stop the VTEC Mini. So we recommend switching to the Superbrake Kit using the Brake Setup Kit (If Necessary). 2) Mini Tec's Front End Alignment Kit will allow you to adjust your caster and camber. 3) 13"x 7" Deep Dish Wheels (7mm -Offset) will allow you to have a tighter turning radius. You can also use a 1" spacer. 4) Large Subframe Mounting Bolts for MK1/MK2 Minis. 5) Mini Tec's Aluminum Radiator Kit will fix your cooling issues. 6)With the MTB Kit, the front wings will have to be extended approximately 4". The fix is Mini Tec's MT Flip Front Kit. 7) Our front transmission support is designed for Honda B-Series engines with Hydraulic slave cylinders. Kits ship within 20 Days of ordering.
