Roll Bar Installation Guide
Part # 400300

Kit Includes: 1 x Four Point Roll Bar, 2 x Four hole plates, 2 x Two hole plates, and hardware.
You will need two ratchet type straps, one 3/8” and one 1/2” drill bit with drill, two 3/4” wrenches, and one 3/8” Allen head wrench to complete this installation. Note: This is a two-person job.
INSTALLATION:
1) Remove the steering wheel.
2) Cover any painted surfaces with masking tape to protect from scratches (complete B-Post, outside vertical edges of roll bar, painted surfaces below rear quarter windows, and rear pockets).
3) Attach the two ratchet straps to the roll bar in the locations indicated below (Figure 1), and compress the roll bar evenly with both straps. You may have to compress it more once you have it in the car to clear the B-Post. Yellow lines indicate straps.

4) Insert roll bar into Mini through either door with short legs facing rear of vehicle. The front should be tilted forward for this step.
5) With one person at each door, work the roll bar past the B-post and into the rear pockets. Note: To clear the B-post, you may need to compress the roll bar more.
6) Once past the B-post, you will need to decompress the four legs so that it will fit into the rear pockets. Be Careful when decompressing the Roll Bar. It will probably be under a lot of stress. Make sure that your ratchet straps are in good shape and can handle 400lbs of pressure. Do not let the straps freewheel!
7) Set the roll bar 8.5” from the center of the B-post (Figure 2).

8) Seat the roll bar. Make sure that it is making contact with the Mini body on all four legs.
9) Drill two 3/8” pilot holes from the top side in the vertical leg pads through the body. Note: Drill the two pilot holes in diagonal 1/2” pad holes.
10) From the bottom side, drill the pilot holes with the ½” bit and insert two bolts from the bottom side. Tighten the bolts at this point.
11) Drill the remaining holes in the vertical pieces, insert the bolts, and tighten them.
12) Drill two 1/2” holes from the top side in the rear leg pads through the body, insert bolts, and tighten them.
13) Finish by sealing around the pads on the outside of the vehicle with silicone.
